View Full Version : Navigation and "Music Box" Interface photos
One new feature on the 370Z will be use of a hard drive based music player included on navigation equiped cars. It will also interface with an iPod and can play MP3's from a SD type memory card. Pretty sweet, the interface reminds me a lot of the Alpine IVA series head units which are awesome IMO.
A couple of pics here of the Navi and the Music Box. The simulated picture on the Navi is actually a map of ATL.

Sweet, not sure how well the driver will be able to see the lettering on the buttons from the cockpit, especially if they are short in stature

Why can't they just make it touch screen? At least it would get rid of all the buttons.

It looks nice, but again I'll have to actually sit in one to see how it lays out with my reach and vision range.

I'm too conservative when it comes to bells and whistles. Gadgets and do-dads are too distracting for a lone driver to manipulate IMO. Although, that set-up does look pretty sweet. It would be awesome if it had the same system as the GTR where you can literally check everything on the car.

I think there are to many buttons to distract the driver. Maybe something like the bmw i driver with the single control device to access the menu controls on the display would of been better.

Its Touch Screen. :)
Another thing to add
The Sound System in the top of the line model is very interesting, the Sub-Woofer is custom made by Bose, its removable and is placed over the spare. It sounds very awesome, no need to upgrade unless your a bass-head. Its a good amount of Daily-Driver bass.

Have you used iDrive? I know some people who like it but personally I hated it. A friend of mine has an 06 5 series and I have yet to figure out that interface.

looks like the big mouse-wheel homographic thingy from bimmers. Jeremy Clarkson seemed to dislike them. but I'm sure Nissan is better.....

I Have a lot of pix but there from my crappy iPhoneGTR(inside joke)
I'm still wondering why in the world Nissan used a primitive media card drive instead of going with a memory stick duo or simple USB drive.
